Let Them Be Wild

"Let Them Be Wild" was named after a verse in the poem Inversnaid by Gerard Manley Hopkins.
This quilt was born as a political statement,  a desire to inspire others to contemplate and honor
the wet and the wild, to preserve our oceans and the life within them.

  1. Thank you, Donna! This one is very much an extension of some of what I've learned over the past year during the course of our exchanges - pulling together some ideas and new techniques with some totally fresh experiments, this time with creating texture. I wanted to take a break from hosting our book arts to put to use some of the ideas that are churning around in my head, to implement some more personal work that's internally derived.

  2. I meant to comment on this awhile back: a lovely, lovely combination of color and texture. "Long live the weeds and the wilderness yet"!
