This is the place where I make my marks and leave my impressions on fiber and paper and all things mixed media. It's the story of my art journey, my successes and failures, my challenges and simple joys .

This is a beatuiful piece too. The balance of lights and darks are well done and the window draws me in to want to know who is inside, behind the drawn curtain. I took similar photos in France. Well done. What size is this? LOVE IT!
Again, Sharon, thanks for your comments! Another 8 inch piece; I took this photo years ago in Charleston, S.C. It's a crop - the original has two windows and a figure walking in front of it. I have a number of window pics I hope to use...I love windows and doors. Those leaves are so small I had to use tweezers. And the vine is cut out from some antique Chinese silk scrap.

ReplyDeleteThanks!
ReplyDeleteI remember that window. Great!
ReplyDeleteI like this a lot Janis. Nice balance of color with the red highlights on the leaves.
